Admission to YWLCS is Non-Selective. If you are a girl entering grades 7-10 and live in the city of Chicago, you are eligible to attend YWLCS.

NOTE: 7th grade is our primary admissions entry point. All applications for 8th, 9th and 10th grades will be placed on a waiting list until openings in that class become available. YWLCS does not accept applicants beyond the 10th grade.

Below is a step-by-step guideline to being admitted:

• Attend an open house
• Find out more about us.
• Explore our website.
• Visit our school during an Open House.
• Write for a packet of information.
• View our Video.
• Meet and talk with some of our current students at the annual Small Schools Expo.

In order for your application to be complete, you must have attended one of our Open Houses this winter.

This year our Open Houses will be on Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm OR Saturday, February 23, 2008 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.

• Complete the application
• Submit the application by Monday, March 24. You may submit your application by mail or in person. Applications received after this date will be put on the waiting list.
• Wait for us to contact you.
• Reserve your spot by registering.
• Get ready for your first day.

If we receive more applications than seats available, we will hold a lottery. The lottery will be held Friday, March 28, 2008.
